Themes for Valentine's Day Party

Historical Theme
This theme works in two ways - either have the guests dressed up like in the era of Saint Valentine or have them dressed up the like smitten historical figures like Romeo & Juliet, Antony & Cleopatra, Shah Jahan & Mumtaz, and the likes from literature and television or movies.

Candle Lit & Roses Theme
Decorate the venue with candles that will last as long as the party would, dim the lights, decorate the walls and every corner with roses - red, white, yellow, purple or any color you can find. Also, greet each guest who comes to the party with exquisite food and drinks; music being mandatory of course.

Hearts & Cupid Theme
Apart from roses and chocolates, it's the hearts (balloons and stuffed) and cupids that see record sales over the Valentine's week. Have the venue decorated with as many hearts as possible and ask the guests to arrive, dressed up as cute and cuddly cupids with love bow and arrows. Cupids can also be kept as centerpieces for decorative purposes.

Chocolate Tasting Party
Roses, hearts, and cupids had their turn; it's time for chocolate to jump in and sweeten up the Valentine's party. There's no better way to celebrate as passionate a holiday as Valentine's Day. Set up chocolate tasting tables with different types of chocolates such as milk, semisweet, bittersweet and unsweetened; taste them all and rate them on the basis of their appearance, aroma, texture and flavors.

Red Hot Theme
Red is the color of love and passion, and what better day to put this color on display than on the most lovable and passionate day of Valentine's Day. Red lights, red balloons, red glow lamps, red tableware, little fireplaces scattered all over the party area (if the season permits), red heart shaped beads, and anything else you can think of. It'll be a sight to behold.
